2 Large onions
Buttermilk
Breadcrumbs
2 cups all purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon season salt
1 teaspoons black pepper
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
1) Slice onions into ¼ inch slices. Pour entire carton of buttermilk and allow to sit for at least 2 hours.

2) In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, cornstarch and all seasonings.

3) Dip onion rings in flour mixture and set aside.

4) Using the same flour mixture add one egg and the buttermilk until you get a thick consistency.

5) Dip coated onion rings in the batter and place in a wired rack to allow the excess batter to drip off. Coat with breadcrumbs until completely covered.

6) Fry until golden brown.
