CREAM CHEESE FILLING:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
few dashes salt
1 t. vanilla
1 batch of Sandwich Roll dough
except use 1/3 c. sugar in it
1 can cherry pie filling
ICING:
1 c. confectioner's sugar
1 T. butter, softened
1 T. milk
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. almond extract
few dashes salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the filling till smooth. Set aside. Mix the dough. Spread in 15 4" non-stick pie/cake pans. Using wet or oiled fingers, make a large crater in the center of each one (not all the way to the bottom). Fill each one as you shape it. You can either make 1/2 of them cherry and 1/2 cream cheese, or you can use some of both in each danish. Put the pans on cookie sheets. Let rise 30 minutes; bake 20 minutes at 350º; until lightly browned. Remove from pans after 10 minutes; cool on foil. When cool, mix icing and drizzle over danishes.
