1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup candied cherries, finely chopped
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
1 cup flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add milk and vanilla and beat well.
2. Add flour and beat until well mixed. Stir in cherries and pecans.
3. Shape into 3- 7" rolls. Roll in coconut to coat all sides.
4. Wrap in plastic and chill for several hours.
5. Heat oven to 375 (350 for dark baking sheets)
6. Cut into 1/4" slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes. Remove and cool.

I like to add green candied cherries as well to make them more colorful. You can also buy the candied fruit already chopped with several colors. That works fine too.
