1lb sirloin steak (ground beef will do)
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup soy
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
4 cloves minced garlic
1 tbsp minced ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Chill steak, then thinly slice and roll in cornstarch. Let sit, and combine other ingredients into a sauce.

Heat 1-2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add steak and cook quickly, 3-5 minutes, until brown. Add sauce to pan, and cook another 5-10 min until sauce is thickened slightly. Serve ver rice.

You can deglaze pan before adding sauce with sake or rice vinegar. You could also add onions and other vegetables, or even a little sesame oil.

This recipe makes a lot of sauce—you could half the quantities.
