Cake:
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c. pecans
2 t. hot water
2 c. sugar
1 no. 2 can B.B. cherries
2 T. melted butter
2 t. soda

Sauce:
1 1/2 c. lt. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. hot water
1 1/2 T flour
1 t. vanilla
2 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Remove seeds from cherries if not pitted, save juice. Mix flour, sugar, salt. Add juice and mix. Add beaten eggs then butter. Mix well. Stir in cherries and nuts, add soda which has been dissolved in hot water. Pour into large pan which has been greased and floured. Bake at 350 30 to 40 minutes. Then pour sauce over cake while hot. You can top with whipped cream if desired.

Sauce:
Combine first three ingredients. Cook 20 minutes add butter and extract, pour over hot cake.
