2 c. sugar
1 t. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
4 c. plain flour
2 c. buttermilk
1 t. soda
1 c. dates
1 c. pecans
1 1/2 t. vanilla
4 eggs
2 T. orange rind
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time. Mix soda, salt, and 3 1/2 c. flour together. Add alternately with butter mixture. Roll nuts and dates in 1/2 c. flour Add to dough. Add 2 T. orange rind.
