5 eggs plus one white, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. cake flour
4 T. cocoa, heaping, fold in
pinch salt
5 T. strong coffee, strong
1 t. soda
2 t. vanilla

Bake 3 - 9" layers at 350º

Frost with $100 Chocolate Icing:
2 sticks butter, room temp
3 T. strong coffee
2 T. cocoa
1 egg yolk
1 box confectioner's sugar
1 t. vanilla
