1 lb. ground meat (beef or turkey)
1 (4 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
¾ tsp. cumin
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. oregano
¼ tsp. black pepper
¼ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. onion powder
⅛ tsp. granulated sugar
¼ c. water
Flour tortillas or hard taco shells

Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, cilantro

Taco seasoning:
Mix together all seasonings from list of ingredients, except water, tomato sauce and taco shells. Set aside.

In skillet, brown ground meat and lightly season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and seasoning salt. Drain and put ground meat back in skillet.

Add tomato sauce and prepared taco seasonings. Stir until meat is coated in the sauce. Add water. Stir.

Cook on med-low heat until liquid is mostly absorbed, about 5 minutes.

Serve in soft flour tortillas or hard taco shells with/without optional toppings or make a taco salad.
