1 egg
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
2 bananas

2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
¾ cup water

Heat oven to 325º. Sift flour and baking soda.Set aside. Cream sugar and butter then add egg and beat well. Add mashed ripe bananas. Mix thoroughly with flour and soda mixture, add water and mix.Sprinkle with sugar! Bake for about 60 minutes. It depends on how hot your oven gets. Test with toothpick for doneness.

Jonah and Jorie love this bread! I love to make it for them when I go visit them. Sometimes I will make two loaves because one loaf doesn't last long! The recipe came from The University of Illinois cookbook where their Mom went to college. I love to collect cookbooks!
