1 12-oz. bag chocolate chips
4 eggs, separated
1 pt. whipping cream, whipped
1 c. chopped pecans
2 T. sugar
1 t. vanilla
pinch salt
large angel food or pound cake (I prefer angel food)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chips in double boiler. Add beaten egg yolks. Cool and add nuts. Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff but not dry. Add sugar & vanilla to whites. Fold into chocolate mixture. Add cream that has been whipped. Break cake into bite size pieces. Layer cake & chocolate mixture. Chill. Cut into squares or into 8 dessert cups before chilling. Garnish with whipped cream, a cherry, mint leaves. Can double and put into a trifle dish.
