1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 c. milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 t. vanilla
1 small box vanilla wafers
2-4 bananas
2 T. butter if you want it richer
4 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour & sugar together. Add milk and beaten egg yolks. Cook in double boiler until thick. Add vanilla. In an 8x8 pan or 1½ qt. casserole, layer small amount of custard, vanilla wafers, bananas, custard, and repeat, ending with custard. Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold in 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla. Put on top of custard and seal. Bake at 325º until brown - about 12-15 minutes.
