2 medium Granny Smith apples
1 (8-oz.) package crescent roll dough
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. orange juice
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. very fine pecan pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Peel and core apples and cut into 4 pieces each. Unroll dough & put each piece around apple. Put in greased 8x8 pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Combine orange juice, sugar, and butter. Cook to boiling in microwave. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over dumplings. Top with pecans. Bake 30 minutes or until rolls are brown and apples are tender. Spoon syrup over dumplings.
