1 pkg. yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water
1 c. shredded sharp cheddar
2 T. shortening (or butter)
2 T. sugar
2 t. salt
Dash Tabasco
2 2/3 c. flour
3 T. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. When it foams, add cheese, shortening, sugar, salt, Tabasco and 2 cups flour. Blend 30 seconds on low; scrape bowl. Beat 2 minutes on medium; scrape bowl. Stir in remaining flour until smooth; scrape bowl. Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled (about 30 minutes). Stir down batter. Spread in greased 9x5 pan. Smooth top with floured hands. Cover, let rise again until double (about 40 minutes). Bake at 375º for 45 minutes; until loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Brush with melted butter. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack. You can also bake this in small loaf pans but cut the baking time down. Very delicious.
