Meat Sauce


Ingredients:

2 cloves, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
3 T olive oil
1½ lbs lean ground beef
1 small can sliced black olives
3 cans tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
oregano, salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown garlic and onions in 3 T olive oil. Add the lean ground beef and cook until brown. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste. Heavily season with oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Feel free to add other Italian spices per your taste. Set aside while you make the cheese mixture.
 

Cheese Filling


Ingredients:

1 8-oz pkg cream cheese
1 c sour cream
¾ c grated parmesan cheese
3-4 eggs
¼ c parsley flakes
2 T garlic powder
1 pkg lasagna noodles, cooked per box directions
1½ pkgs Mozzarella cheese slices

Directions:
Directions:
Blend all ingredients at high speed. Mixture will be runny but flams up when baked.

In lasagna pan, layer:

noodles
meat sauce
ladle cheese mixture over meat
mozarella cheese
Repeat

Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes. Allow to sit for for about 15 minutes before serving.

This recipe was from Marian DeWeese whom I met in Augsburg, Germany. If you don't use all the sauce up, save it for spaghetti sauce.
