2 lb. chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/3 cup flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 small white onion, diced
2 tsp. minced garlic
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces
3 carrots, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces
3 celery stalks, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 oz sliced mushrooms
4 cups beef broth
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bag frozen peas

Directions:

In a large bowl, mix meat, flour, salt, and pepper.

Brown meat in batches in a pan with oil. Remove meat from pan and set aside. In same pan, add onion and garlic. Cook until tender.

Layer in crock pot in this order: potatoes, carrots, celery, mushrooms, onion/garlic mixture, meat, beef broth, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.

Cook on Low for 7½ hours. Add the frozen peas and cook 10 more minutes.

Serve in sourdough bread bowls.
