Notes: This was always a big hit when Mom served it for parties. Since Daddy was a social butterfly, they entertained a lot. I always envied how Daddy would call her at 4:00 p.m. to say he wanted to bring to bring a colleague home for dinner, and she would have a feast on the table by the time they walked in the door. Daddy did that on numerous occasions so she had a lot of practice. Or the time there were 6-8 cadets sleeping at our house (most on the floor) and she was up to provide breakfast for all of us before we piled into cars to head for the VPI/West Point football game.
From Mary Lou: A fancy and delicious, but easy, punch. Aunt Neese always made it look good in her beautiful punch bowl.
