Directions:
Put 1 1/2 cups water in a pan to bring to a boil. In a bowl, mix one cup sugar, two rounded or heaping tablespoons of Hershey’s cocoa, one rounded or heaping tablespoon flour and dash of salt. When water is boiling, slowly stir the dry mixture into it. Lower the heat and let simmer for a little while until it starts to thicken. Turn off fire and pour in a little vanilla flavoring. That's it! Serve with buttered biscuits that you dip in the chocolate gravy. For little children, break the buttered biscuit into bite sized pieces and pour the gravy on it.

Personal Notes:
For my family and friends who would like Nana's recipe for chocolate and biscuits. Remember to use a regular coffee cup to measure and a regular tablespoon that you eat with to measure, not the standard measuring cup and measuring spoon. This is how Nana gave it to me and this is how I make it. Eaten by my Crawford and Lawrence family before I was born.
