1 c. warm water
2 pkg. dry yeast
c. sugar
⅓ c. shortening
1 egg
1 t. salt
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the warm water into large glass bowl. Add yeast, dissolving well. Add sugar, salt, shortening, egg, and the flour. Beat well until smooth, then add the remaining flour. Stir until smooth. Cover bowl with wax paper and let rise until double in size. Stir down batter with 20-25 strokes and fill greased muffin tins full. Let rise until batter reaches the top of tins. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350. Never fails.
