1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1 t. soy sauce
1 c. sugar
1 t. salt
1 T. cornstarch

Directions:

Sauté garlic in a little oil until lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until thickened.

This recipe can be used for egg rolls, glaze for ham, pork or chicken.

Shirley's note: John's mother, Pacita, made about 200 egg rolls for Judy and John's wedding reception and made a ton of this delicious sauce. They were the hit of the buffet!
