Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5-6 fully cooked ground beef patties, frozen or thawed (I use quick ‘n eat angus patties from Sam’s club) season with salt, black pepper and onion powder on each side OR
1-1½ lb. ground meat
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. meat tenderizer
½ tsp. accent
1 pkg. meatloaf seasoning (use half the package)
4 Ritz crackers, crumbled
1 egg
½ c. green bell pepper, diced
½ c. onion, diced
1 tbsp. olive oil
Homemade gravy (see cookbook section Soups/Salads/Stews for recipe)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat large skillet/pan with olive oil on medium heat and sauté onions and green peppers for 3-5 minutes.

Make homemade gravy mixture (broth, flour, salt and browning seasoning) and set aside. (See recipe in soup, salad and stew section) Do not cook mixture until the patties are ready.

After onions and green peppers are sautéed, put them in the bowl with the gravy mixture.

Place skillet back on stove top to cook fully cooked patties or homemade patties.

If using fully cooked patties, season them with salt, pepper and onion powder on each side and place in large skillet/pan. Cook until patties are unthawed and browned on each side.

If you make the hamburger patties, mix ground meat, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, meat tenderizer, accent, meatloaf seasoning, crackers and egg together until combined. Make each patty and pat out like a regular hamburger. Cook on each side for 5 minutes or until preferred doneness. Once patties are done, drain drippings from skillet/pan. Add patties back to skillet and once you hear them frying, add homemade gravy mixture.

Let gravy cook and thicken with patties at least 10 minutes on medium to low heat. Cool 5-10 minutes before serving.

Personal Notes:
As a family, we are always looking for a quick hearty meal to cook. This is our go-to using fully cooked patties. I wanted to also put my recipe for the homemade patties as well just in case my girls can’t find a fully cooked patty that they like. Make your own! This homemade hamburger patty recipe can also be used to make meatballs with gravy or bbq meatballs.
