PASTRY SHELLS:
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. + 2 T. flour
1 1/2 t. sesame seeds
1/4 t. salt
FILLING:
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 T. fresh chives
3 large eggs
3/4 c. half and half
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/8 t. nutmeg
Dash of tabasco

PASTRY SHELLS: With mixer, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and chill one hour. Shape into 36 1” balls. Place in lightly greased mini muffin pans, shaping each ball into a shell.
FILLING: Combine cheese and chives; spoon mixture evenly into pastry shells. Combine eggs and remaining ingredients. Pour into pastry shells. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until set and browned. Yields 3 dozen.
