2 lb. ground chuck
1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
7-8 garlic cloves, minced
2 lg. cans chili beans
28 oz. tomato sauce
water
1 t. salt
1 t. black pepper
2 T. chili powder

Directions:
Directions:
In 5 qt. pot brown meat with onion, bell pepper and garlic in a little oil. Add chili beans and tomato sauce. Fill empty cans with water and add to pot. Add seasonings. Mother cooked this on low on the stovetop for 3-4 hours, but it can be cooked in a crockpot on high for 2-3 hours and then on low for another 2-3 hours.
