Sift together:

2 cups flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Baking Soda

Cream in mixer:

1/2 cup Shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp Orange Zest

Mix together, then add:

2 medium mashed Bananas
2 Tblsp milk

Mix with dry ingredients.
Beat well

Then add:

1/2 cup chopped Walnuts or Pecans

Directions:

Pour batter in a greased 9” loaf pan

Bake at 350 for 45 or 50 min. Make sure it’s brown

You can also make these into muffins. (Fill them 3/4 full)
Cooking time will be less

I found this recipe a few years back in a Better Homes And Garden Cookbook.
Adding the Orange Zest gives it a great flavor!! I use to sell these Banana Muffins in Mexico!! They were hot sellers! You’ll enjoy them!! EAT THEM WITH BUTTER!!
