Shamecca Williams

1 lb. ground beef
1 (16 oz.) Jimmy Dean regular country sausage roll
2 tbsp. frozen seasoning blend or dice ¼ c. onion and ¼ c. green bell pepper
1 (26 oz.) jar Ragu sautéed onion and garlic sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
Pinch of red pepper flakes
1 bay leaf
2 (14.5 oz.) beef broth
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (15 oz.) mild Rotel diced tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar (I use Splenda brown sugar)
1 tsp. italian seasoning
1 tsp. parsley
½ tsp. oregano
Salt and pepper to season
5-6 uncooked oven ready lasagna noodles
Mozzarella cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese

Season ground beef and sausage (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt, accent)

Add seasoning blend/veggies and garlic to the ground meats and brown together. Drain.

Put all other ingredients, except broth and cheeses, in large pot or Dutch oven, then add browned meats and veggies.

Add 1 tbsp. cornstarch to broth and then pour into pot. Stir. Bring to a boil for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, turn down to low and add noodles by breaking them into bite sized pieces and stir. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Put cheeses on top of soup, cover and turn off stove top.

**Let soup thicken at least 10 minutes so cheese can melt. Bon appetit!
