Peppery Beef & Veggie Stirfry Recipe

4 oz spagettini

½ cup water
3 T soy sauce
2 T cornstarch
½ tsp ground black pepper
⅛ tsp red pepper flakes

non-stick cooking spray
1 cup fresh pea pods, halved
½ cup red and/or green pepper, copped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup mushrooms, fresh, sliced
1 T cooking oil
¾ lb lean boneless beef cut into bite sized strips

Cook spagettini according to package drirections. Drain well and keep warm

For the sauce...in a small bowl stir together water, soy sauce, cornstarch, black pepper & red pepper flakes... set aside

Spray a cold wok or skillet with non-stick spray... and heat over medium-high heat.

Add pea pods, peppers and garlic... stirfry 1 minute

Add mushrooms. Stirfry 1-2 minutes more or until vegetables are tender. Remove vegetables from wok

Add oil to wok.

Stirfry beef in hot oil for 3-4 minutes or until done.

Push beef to sides of wok

Stir sauce and pour into the centre of the wok...cook and stir until thickened and bubbly

Return vegetables to wok

Cook and stir all ingredients for 1 minute

Toss with spaghettini
