Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
2 T. minced garlic (6-8 cloves)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar ( or white or cider vinegar)
1 tsp. salt
1 T. peanut butter or fresh crushed peanuts
1-3 tsp. garlic-chili sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, water, garlic and vinegar in medium saucepan and cook on low until sugar is dissolved 10 minutes). If you like it quite thick, cook longer. It will thicken a bit as it cools.
Take off heat and stir in garlic chili sauce and p. butter if desired. I add only crushed peanuts once sauce is cool.

Note: I like to add the garlic after sugar dissolves so it isn't so strong.
If you cant find the chili - garlic sauce, mix a little bit of ketchup, soy or hoisin sauce, hot pepper flakes or sauce and garlic powder. Its mostly for a bit of heat and color.
