⅔ cup all-purpose flour
⅔ cup whole wheat flour
1 tbs ground flax seed
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking power
5⅓ tbs butter, softened
⅔ cup sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 large, very ripe bananas
¾ cup chopped walnuts (**No Nuts For Alex)

1. Preheat oven 350º, position a rack in the lower third of the oven. Grease 8½x4½inch loaf pan.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together flours, salt, ground flax seed, baking soda and baking powder.

3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar on high speed until light in color and texture, 2 to 3 minutes.

4. Beat in flour mixture until blended and consistency of brown sugar. Gradually beat in eggs. On medium low, fold in nuts and bananas.

5. Pour into baking pan and spread evenly. Bake 50 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes our clean.
