1 Pkg, Yeast
1/4 C Warm Water
2 1/2 C Flour
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Salt
1/8 C Sugar
1/2 C Shortening
1 C Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water, set aside

Mix dry ingredients in order given

Cut in shortening

Stir in Buttermilk & yeast mixture, Blend thoroughly.

Roll out dough or refrigerate. Cut with biscuit cutter, place in a greased cake pan, lightly touching.

Let dough rise slightly, then Bake at 400º 10-15 minutes

If refrigerating, biscuits will take longer to rise.
