3 eggs
1 cup white sugar
1 cup dark Karo syrup
pinch of salt
1 T vanilla
2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
1 9 inch unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slightly beat eggs. Add sugar, Karo, salt and vanilla, stir.
Add pecans, mix together. Pour into pie shell. Bake in 450 degree oven for exactly 5 minutes. until crust sets. Lower oven to 275 degrees, open oven door and leave open for 5 minutes. Close door and bake pie at 275 degrees for two hours.
Put foil around the crust if it gets too brown as it is cooking.
