1 Tablespoon oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 Tablespoon flour
2 teaspoons curry
1 teaspoon cumin
3 cups chicken broth
1 Tablespoon honey
Salt and pepper to taste
Dash of nutmeg
1 cup half & half
16 oz. can pumpkin
Sour Cream

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and mushrooms in oil. Add flour to thicken. Add curry, cumin, chicken broth, honey, salt and pepper and nutmeg. Cook about 15 minutes. Add half & half and pumpkin. Heat to warm. DO NOT BOIL. Top with a dollop of sour cream in each bowl.

"We carried the ingredients for this soup to a cabin on the Potomac Appalachian Trail where we celebrated Thanksgiving and a 50th birthday. The soup was prepared on an old wood stove, which may have added a little special flavor to this delicious soup."
