Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix (or German chocolate if you can't find milk chocolate)
2 cups sugar
1 stick oleo
1 large can Carnation evaporated milk
1/2 cup light Karo syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Bake cake according to package directions. While cake bakes, make sauce.
Stir ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Mix well; will foam up to top of pan. When cake is done and out of oven, poke holes all over top of cake and pour sauce in the holes and all over top. Let sit overnight so that sauce will soak in to cake. It's better that way!!!
