1 cup salted butter, at room temperature
4 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup salted caramel sauce
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Heavy cream or milk, only as needed

Directions:
Using stand mixer fitted with the whisk, beat butter on medium-high speed until light, creamy, and smooth, about 4 minutes. Add 2 cups powdered sugar and blend on low speed until the butter and powdered sugar come together. Add the remaining powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt, and mix until combined. Add the caramel sauce and beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy about 2-3 minutes. Add additional heavy cream or milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, only as needed to get the frosting to a nice pipeable consistency.
