Ingredients:  
1 cup butter (room temp)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
Beat ingredients, mix well.

Dissolve:
1 tsp soda
in
½ c. buttermilk.

Put 3 1/2 cups flour in large bowl &
1 lb dates -cut up
1 lb orange slices -cut up
2 cups chopped nuts
1 cup flaked coconut
Directions:
Directions:
Stir to coat with flour. Mix in creamed mixture & buttermilk.

Bake 9 x 13 pan. 250° 2 ½ - 3 hours.
