2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. cloves
1 c. vegetable oil
1¾ c. packed dark brown sugar
1 c. unsweetened applesauce or apple butter
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shredded apple
1 tbsp. molasses
1 recipe of cream cheese frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º and grease a 9 X 13 baking pan.
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and other spices together in a large bowl and set aside.
Whisk oil, brown sugar, applesauce, eggs, vanilla, and molasses together. Pour wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until combined. Fold in shredded apple gently until combined. Put in pan and bake for 45 minutes.
Cool cake in pan for 40 minutes and frost.
