Directions:
Directions:
Add olive oil to a large pot. Sauté Italian sausage. Remove. Add slivered garlic, bay leaves, dried parsley, dried parsley, red pepper flakes. Add paste - additional olive oil may be needed- stir and incorporate. Add tomatoes and tomato purée - incorporate. Add browned sausage, sugar, fresh chopped parsley, fresh chopped basil. Add meatballs - see recipe. Sometimes , I will add a raw meatball to the simmering sauce, Cook - Bianca-Bain. Taste for seasoning.
