1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
2 T brown sugar
2 T chili powder
1 T cumin
1 t oregano
½ black pepper
¼ salt
2 bay leaves
1 small can tomato paste (6 oz?)
1 ¼ cup red wine (Merlot or fruity)
2 cans of dark red kidney beans, drained (15 oz)
2 can diced tomatoes (28 oz)
2 links of turkey sausage, already cooked, diced

Directions:
Directions:
Add some olive oil to a large pot and saute the onions, then add the ground beef. Once the beef is beginning to brown, add the red pepper. Once that is softened and meat is thoroughly browned, add all the seasonings. Stir for a few minutes and then add the tomato paste, canned tomatoes, beans and wine. Last add the turkey sausage. Simmer until heated all the way through.
