1 cup sour cream
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1½ teaspoons vanilla
4½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add sour cream and mix well. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla, mixing well after each one. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt baking soda and baking powder and then slowly add to the creamed mixture until all is well mixed.

Chill for two hours.

Preheat oven to 350º.

Flour a hard surface and put ½ of the chilled dough in center and roll with a floured rolling pin to about ¼ inch thickness. Using floured cookie cutters, cut shapes and place on cookie sheets covered with parchment paper, about 1 inch apart. Combine dough scraps and finish accordingly. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheets about 5 minutes before removing cookies to a cooling rack. Store in an airtight container. May be frozen.
