½ pound navy beans (dry)
½ onion, large, chopped
1 quart chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons leaf oregano
2 teaspoons ground cumin
dash ground cayenne pepper
3 whole cloves, crushed
4 ounces green chiles, chopped
2 pounds chicken breast, cooked and chopped
Monterey Jack cheese and sour cream as desired

Directions:
Directions:
Combine beans, onions, garlic and chicken broth in a large saucepan and simmer for 3 hours or until beans are soft. Add remaining ingredients to bean mixture and bring to a boil. Simmer an additional 30 minutes. Serve hot and garnish with Monterey Jack cheese and sour cream.
