c. shortening
1 c. sugar, divided
1 egg
c. molasses
2 T. milk
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 t. soda
1 t. cinnamon
t. salt
t. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix cream, shortening, and 1 cup of sugar. Beat in egg, molasses, milk, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll in remaining sugar. Place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-14 minutes.
