1 3 pound chicken
4 cups chicken stock
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon pepper
salt
¼ box Bisquick for dumplings

Directions:
Directions:
Cover chicken with water in a stockpot and bring to a simmer
Poach the chicken for about 30 minutes
Cool, then pull off the white meat
Put chicken back into the water
Add chicken stock, butter, pepper, and salt

Mix the dumplings according to directions on the box
This can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator
Drop the dough scoops into the boiling stock.
Cook until done, according to the recipe
Usually, 10-12 minutes on simmer
Sprinkle with parsley and serve
Add noodles before you make the dumplings, just make sure you have enough liquid
