1 - 1 1/2 lbs. shrimp (medium or large)
3/4c. butter
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
4-5 shallots, minced
or
1/2c. green onions, sliced
1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 Tbs. fresh minced parsley
1/4c. dry white wine
sprigs of parsley, for garnish
slices of lemon, for garnish
4-8 slices of crusty French bread

Directions:

1. Peel and devein shrimp; leave tail attached and set aside.

2. Melt butter in sauté pan; add garlic and shallots or onions and
sauce over low heat until light golden.

3. Add all remaining ingredients except garnish and bread;
allow to bubble for 1 minute and remove from heat.

4. Place shrimp on an oven-proof platter; pour half the garlic
butter over shrimp and broil 5" from heat for approximately
3 minutes.

5. Turn shrimp over and top with remaining butter mixture and
broil an additional 3 minutes.

6. Garnish with sprigs of parsley and lemon slices.
