Mom's Brownies Recipe

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs, slightly beaten
16 oz Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 1/2 cup flour (for high elevation) original recipe calls for 1 cup, plus 2 TBSP flour


Frosting:
1/2 cup heavy cream
12 oz pkg milk chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Mix butter and sugar well. Add eggs, chocolate syrup and vanilla. Add flour and salt.

Pour into a 9 X 13 pan and bake at 350º F for 35-40 minutes Do not overbake or they will be dry.

Frosting.
Heat heavy cream in a medium size bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes. Pour in the chocolate chips and let sit for about 5 minutes. Stir the mixture until it's smooth and frost the brownies. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.


If you like more nuts, you can add 1 cup chpped walnuts to the brownie mix before baking.
