1 pound apples, 3-4
1 pound/3 cups brown sugar
1 pound/4 cups suet
1 pound/3 cups currants
1 pound/3 cups raisins
1 pound/3 cups sultanas
1/4 pound/1 cup peel
2 ounces, 2 tbsp, almonds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp all-spice
1/2 tsp salt

Mix all together, put through a food processor, if desired. Add a little rum for flavour. Use as a filling with favourite tart or pie pastry (basic plain or short crust), often served during the Christmas season.
