Ingredients:  
5 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
9 eggs well beaten
3 cups sultana raisins
2 cups sliced almonds
3 cups citron peel, cut up
1 1/2 cup glazed cherries, halved
Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup liquor of choice (optional)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and put in 2 fairly large loaf pans. Bake at 275 – 300 F for 3-3.5 hours.
