2 cups bread crumbs
2 cups milk
2 egg yolks
1 tbs sugar
1 tbs vanilla flavouring
3 tbsp raspberry or any red jam, or glazed cherries.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Boil milk and pour over bread crumbs, leave a few minutes.
2. Beat egg yolks and add to the mixture, also sugar and flavouring.
3. Bake in moderate oven for about 1/2 hour, take out and spread with jam and whites of eggs beaten.
4. Put back for another 10 minutes, can be eaten hot or cold.
Optional: Glazed cherries can be used instead of jam – the effect is very nice.
