2 cups pretzels, broken into small pieces
1½ sticks butter
¼ cup sugar
1 8oz package cream cheese
8 oz kool whip
¾ cup sugar
1 large package strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
½ cup cold water
2 10oz packages of frozen strawberries with their juices

Directions:
Directions:
Put pretzel pieces in a 9 x 13 glass dish. Melt butter and mix with ¼ cup of sugar. Pour over pretzels and bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Let cool. Whip together cream cheese, Kool Whip and sugar and spread over pretzels. Disolve Jello in hot water, add cold water and then strawberries. Refrigerate. Just before jello sets, pour over cheese and put back in refrigerator.

We always have this for Christmas Dinner. If missing people will ask where it is. I typically don't like congealed salads, but I love this one.
