4 c. apples, chopped
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 t. baking soda
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. salt
1 c. walnuts, chopped
FROSTING:
4 T. butter
3 c. confectioners' sugar
pinch of salt
2 T. lemon juice
1-2 T. water

Directions:
Directions:
Stir apples and sugar, let stand for 15 minutes. Beat eggs, oil and vanilla. Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nuts. Stir into wet mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 10 minutes. FROSTING: Cream butter, sugar and salt. Add lemon juice and enough water for spreading. Spread on cooled cake.
