Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
2 cups flour
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and salt in a large mixer bowl. Gradually beat in the flour. Stir in 1-1/2 cups of the chocolate chips and the nuts. Press into an ungreased 15" x 10" jelly roll pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and set. Cool in pan until just slightly warm.

Microwave remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips in a heavy duty plastic bag on high power for 1 minute; knead bag to mix. Microwave for additional 10 second intervals if necessary, kneading until smooth. Cut a small hole in one corner of the bag. Squeeze to drizzle over cookie brittle. Allow chocolate to cool and set. Break brittle into irregular pieces.

(I like to toast the nuts before using, put on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350º for about 8 minutes. Cool, then chop to use in recipe.
