1 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 tbs cream or top milk
1/2 cup melted shortening
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tea baking powder
1/4 tea salt
1/2 tea vanilla
1 egg yolk
1 tbs milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs till light. add sugar,cream,and shortening and mix well
Sift dry ingredients together and add to first mixture, add vanilla, chill
Roll out mixture on lightly floured board and cut with star cutter
Mix egg yolks with milk brush over top of cookie sprinkle with nutmeats
bake in 350 oven for 8 minutes
