Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp. shortening
½ cup+ unsalted, roasted almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Clear some room in the fridge for the sheet.

Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate and shortening. Stir until smooth. Fold in almonds. Pour onto prepared baking sheet. Using a rubber spatula, spread into an even layer of desired thickness. Sprinkle with more almonds if desired. Refrigerate until firm, about 20 minutes.

Immediately remove from fridge and allow to reach room temperature before cutting (to avoid leaving fingerprints). Separate chocolate from paper. Break or cut into pieces. Store in an airtight container up to 1 month, fridge or freezer.

Note: I make this for Christmas Gifts. Put in cellophane bag and tie with a ribbon.
